Deworming

By Penny • January 8th, 2010

All our puppies receive their first de-worming treatment at 6 weeks of age, when they are old enough to receive the medication, and again every two to three weeks until they go home. No puppy will ever knowingly leave our kennel while infected with parasites and or worms. As part of our routine health treatment plan, all our puppies receive Fecal Float tests for internal parasites which include such parasites and worms, Giardia, and Coccidia. If a puppy, in our care, tests positive for parasites the puppy will be given the proper treatment and follow-up tests will be given. Once the test results are negative the puppy will be made available.
